Kentucky Owl St. Patrick's Edition Limited Release Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 700mL

In celebration of the long-standing ties that bind Irish and Kentucky whiskey making together, Kentucky Owl® has partnered with Irish Whiskey Bonder, Louise McGuane to bring her craft in selecting rare whiskey barrels for their unique flavor profiles to this collaboration with Master Blender, John Rhea, to deliver this exceptional blended bourbon together.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Sweet caramel and honey with just enough spice married in, to pleasantly tease the palate.

Palate: Long notes of caramel, butterscotch, frosted cinnamon roll.  Chocolate orange, candy floss, and into some citrus peel. A bright forest fruit on the mid palate.

Finish: Long and lingering finish with vanilla pod and some balanced wood influence.

It makes marketing sense to release this in conjunction with St. Patrick's Day, but it might be shortchanging it to a degree. It’s unclear if this is a one time release, and its price point seems high for someone looking for an impulse holiday dram.
