Balvenie Caribbean Cask was created by The Balvenie Malt Master, David Stewart, who celebrated an incredible 50th anniversary at the distillery in 2012. 14 years maturation in traditional oak casks & finished in Caribbean rum casks.

TASTING NOTES: Rounded with vanilla, toffee, nutmeg and sweet oak notes, with a fruity character that develops with time.

"Aging whisky in rum casks can be a tricky proposition as they whisky can become overly "rummed". To be successful, the rum should just enhance the whisky, not overpower it.
