Jack Daniel’s Small Batch Rye is a 2026 Special Release composed of five high-proof batches of Tennessee Rye Whiskey sourced from the Coy Hill, Boiler Hill, and Fire Brigade Fields barrelhouses. The release is made from the distillery’s rye mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley and undergoes charcoal mellowing before maturation in new oak barrels.

The barrels were filled between February 2016 and August 2017 and aged an average of 10 years. Bottled at barrel proof, the batches range from 142.7 to 146.1 proof (71.35%–73.05% ABV). 

Available in very limited quantities beginning April 2026 exclusively at the distillery’s White Rabbit Bottle Shop in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

"If you’ve sipped high-proof (think 140+ proof) Jack releases before, there are some commonalities, even between the Tennessee whiskey and rye mash bills. With this Boiler Hill release, those are on full display. It’s sugary sweet up front, with a combo of fruits, specifically classic Jack banana and dark cherry syrup. Leather and tea tannins dominate the midpalate (think of it like an incredibly dark, sweetened tea extract) alongside cinnamon chewing gum. I would encourage some dilution here, which helps unlock some more underlying flavors while tamping down the cinnamon spice just a bit.
